Notes from Perth

Hi all,
We arrived safely in Perth and are being well hosted by our friends here.  Today we went to Rottnest Island off the coast of Perth.  It’s a small island with cottages for rent and lovely beaches.  The little animal is called a Quokka.  They are related to kangaroos and hop.  The early explorers thought they were rats so named the the island Ratnest.  Beautiful weather, very warm!

Gracia's Travels is a photo blog. I always take too many pictures on trips so I justify my compulsion with this blog! The blog is mostly photos - they tell the best part of the story. Please contact me if you would like to use any of my photos.
