More from Perth

We’ve had a great time here.  It was very hot at first.  Hotter than normal for early autumn.  Over 100 on Friday!  Saturday now is overcast which makes it feel a bit cooler.
On Thursday Harvey & Lyn drove us to Margaret River.  It’s a 3-4 hour drive south of here, very much like southern France.  We visited a couple vineyards and stayed the night in a beautiful lodge.
Last night Will cooked pasta for us and some friends of Harvey & Lyn’s.  We’d picked up a macadamia nut pesto at an Olive Farm that we visited near the wineries.
We are taking it easy today, no major sight seeing, just checking out the area close to the neighborhood.  Our friends are getting ready to leave tomorrow, Sunday, for Israel!  Our timing wasn’t quite perfect but they are so generous, leaving their car for us for a day as we leave on Monday.  Their daughter will pick us up and take us to the dock.  Tonight we are going to the Perth symphony.
Here are a pictures from Cottesloe Beach in Perth.

Love your descriptions and pictures, Gracia. I\’ll need to show them to Tom, particularly the pics from Perth. Maybe he\’ll recognize something from having lived there as a teenager. Enjoy each day. Joanne
