Another Walk in Williamsburg

DSC05874 C (600x450)

We go back to Williamsburg every 5 years for Will’s college reunion at William & Mary.  Each time I think, “I have plenty of pictures of Williamsburg, I won’t take any more.”  But, of course, I take a camera and the pretty pictures just appear.  These pictures are from last fall.  The weather is almost always nice in early October but last fall it was unseasonably warm and more like summer.

The Crim Dell Bridge is a campus favorite.

Williamsburg is just a few hours south of Washington D.C.  It’s picture perfect and worth a trip!

I’m sure glad you brought your camera. What beautiful photos! I must compliment you on taking your photography up a few notches beyond your already-lovely photos from five years ago. Great post, Gracia!

Hi Gracia, That looks like a free standing pipe organ. I’ve not seen one before. Most of the pipe is built into a wall. Beautiful tour. Thank you. Aren’t we lucky to have been able to grow up in these beautiful places!

Thanks, Janet. I looked it up. The Wren Chapel organ is among the four oldest organs in the United States. The Eighteenth century chamber organ was bought in England by Colonial Williamsburg and imported to America for the ballroom of the Governor’s Palace, in Williamsburg. It is on loan to the College.
